"Don’t be dismayed at goodbyes. A farewell is necessary before you can meet again... and meeting again, after moments or lifetime, is certain for those who are friends. --Richard Bach
I live in a pretty special neighborhood. A place where calling on a neighbor for a cup of sugar is a welcome interruption, the found chance to catch up for a moment. A place where the neighborhood kids are "everyone's kids" and popsicles are given freely to the wandering groups of friends during the warm summer months. It's more than a neighborhood; it's a community. So, it was especially sad when we learned that one our dear families would be leaving us for job relocation. The Taylor family came here just 4 and a half years ago from Tulsa, Oklahoma for work, not knowing then that they would fall completely in love with Pittsburgh and their community. Life is always an unexpected adventure, though, and threw them a curveball, sending them back to Tulsa this summer. Before they left, however, I was honored to spend an afternoon with their clan exploring and taking in the beautiful majesty of the Steel City. Taylor Family, you are missed beyond words and we hope you will be back someday; Pittsburgh (and all of us here) will leave a light on for you. xx
